POWER, Maurice J.
With sorrow, we announce the passing of Maurice Power on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Pembroke Regional Hospital. Born April 29, 1924, Maurice was the eldest son, and fifth child of the late Thomas (known as “Abby”) and Bernadette Power. He is predeceased by his wife Arvilla (nee Ludgate) in 2002. Maurice has been well assisted with life’s difficulties during his last years by Gerald “Gerry” Teeple, Marie Kasaboski, and Bonnie Keller. One of twelve children, Maurice is survived by his sister Geraldine (late Edgar) Paquette of Arnprior, and brothers Gregory “Kelly” (Maureen “Moon”) Power and Thomas “Tom” (late Margaret Lepine) Power of Eganville. He is predeceased by his siblings: Mary “Mayme” (late Angus) MacDonald, Margaret (late Clifford) Wingle, Bernadette “Bernie” (late Ashton) Jarvo, Rita (late Hilary “Ray”) Coulterman, Carmel (late James “Jim”) Dellaire, Lila (late Joseph “Joe”) Friske, Michael “Mike” Power, John “Jack” (Lois) Power. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Irene (Roy) Rosebrugh, as well as many nieces and nephews. Professional services have been entrusted to Zohr Funeral Home, Eganville. A graveside service will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery, Eganville on Friday, August 18th at 11:00 a.m.
