After a courageous battle with cancer and family by her side, Lola died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 79. Lola is the eldest daughter of the late Vera and Heber Harrison of Grande Cascapedia, Quebec. Lola was born in the Harrison Homestead in New Richmond, Quebec, March 23, 1938, third eldest of twelve children. Loving mother of Edward (Denise), David and Glenda. Cherised grandma of Sarah, Rebekah, Joshua, Grant and Cameron. Great-grandma of Jackson, Chloe and Luke. Treasured sister of Garth, Alister (Marion), Mary (Keith), Coral (Doug), Joy (Steve), Jill, Madge (John), Keith (Brenda), Terry (Cheryl) and predeceased by her sisters Janice, Lana and brother-in-law Luke. Lola will be missed by twenty-five surviving nieces, nephews, several grand-nieces/nephews and friends. Relatives and friends can call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday July 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lola can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
