Mary Virginia Lowery, age 101, of Halifax, NS, passed away January 15, 2017, at Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Louisdale, NS, she was the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Lowery. Aunt Mary was a founding member of the St. Louis Parish Catholic Women’s League and ran “Minnie’s Table” at the church fair for many years. She travelled to Ste. Anne de Beaupre and other pilgrimage sites often. She was a dedicated church member and a woman of great faith. She was generous, kindly giving of her money and time to so many people.
