The death of Mary Elinor Spicer, age 74, wife of Dwaine
Spicer Springfield, NB, occurred January 28, 2017 at the Saint John
Regional Hospital. Mary was born July 7, 1942 in New Jerusalem, NB,
the daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Thompson)
Laird.
Mary is survived by her husband Dwaine; daughter Barbara
(Doug) Spicer of Red Deer, AB; sons Kevin (Sheleen) Spicer of North
Battleford, SK and Christopher Spicer of Red Deer, AB; 13
grandchildren Tom, Amanda, Douglas, Donald, Page, Eaden, Jarred,
Avrie, Brooklin, Melissa, Kevin, Christopher, and Matthew; brother Jim
Laird; sisters-in-law Lorna Fletcher and Anna Strong; brothers-in-law
Donnie (Diane) Strong and Lewis (Holly) Strong; several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Betty and
Loretta; brothers George, Donnie, Balfor, Allister, Bobby, and
Winsor.
Visitation will take place at Sherwood’s Funeral
Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton,
NB, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral
Service conducted by Rev. Bob Johnson, will be held from
Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2017.
Interment in Midland Cemetery will take place in the
spring.
Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Extra Mural
Fund or the memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal
