Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Martina Loggia age 83 of Tidnish and formerly of Burnaby, BC on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Parthenon, Greece she was a daughter of the late Starvos and Penolope Psimoulis.
Martina was born in Greece and at the age of 18 moved and immigrated to Vancouver, BC, where she met her husband, Frank.
Most of their lives were spent in Kitimat, BC where they raised their 3 sons, retiring in Vancouver, BC.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Lino (Brenda), Kitimat BC, Steve (Teresa) Tidnish NS and Angelo (Tracy) Nanaimo BC; beloved grandchildren, Janet, Christina, Kimberly, Thaao, Cameron, Ryan, Tarin , Ryan and Kera; seven great grandchildren; sister, Sophie Zorbas, ON; brother, Saronto (FoFo), Vancouver BC; sister in laws, Vicky Psimoulis, Vancouver BC and Sula Loggia ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parent, Martina was predeceased by her husband Francesco “Frank”; brother, Chris.
Martina’s remains will be transferred under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst NS to Ocean View Funeral Home, Burnaby, BC from where visitation and funeral service will be held.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Martina’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
