1992 – 2017
Mr. Marlan Patrick Chookomolin, age 25 years, passed away unexpectedly in Thunder Bay on Monday, June 26, 2017, with his family and friends by his side.
Marlan was born January 2, 1992 in Kingston, Ontario. Marlan was an athlete and a hard working young man. He always cared about the unfortunate and homeless people.
Marlan is survived by his father, Ron Chookomolin and mother, Mary Patrick; siblings, Martina Patrick and Martin Patrick as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
The Chookomolin family would to thank everyone and all organizations that were supportive and involved during these difficult times. We thank you all for your support: Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre – ICU, Peawanuck First Nation, Thunder Bay Police Services, Ontario Medical Chief Coroner’s Office – Thunder Bay and Toronto, Nishnawbe Aski Nation, Fort Severn First Nation, Thunder Bay Smiles Orthodontics, Matawa Education, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, Air Creebec, The Chronicle Journal, St. Anthony’s Rectory – Thunder Bay, Chiefs of Ontario, St. Pius School Staff – Thunder Bay and Everest Funeral Chapel.
A visitation and viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 (TODAY) from 2:00pm until 5:00pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Vigil Prayers will be offered at 2:00pm by Father Luigi Filippini. Marlan will then be transported to his final resting place in Peawanuk, Ontario on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 for funeral services and burial.
Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Marlan Chookomolin to the Shelter House, Dew Drop Inn or a Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.
