RIOPELLE, Marjorie
(nee Foran).
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie, in Ottawa, on December 3, 2017, in her eighty-sixth year. Cherished mother of Gerard Plunkett (Marcia), Ruth Haller, (Kurt), and Dan Plunkett (Marie). Beloved grandma of Matthew, Sarah, and Rachelle Plunkett, and Nathan and Isaiah Haller; and great-grandma of Noah and Jonathan. Marjorie will also be sorely missed by the family of her late husband Howard Riopelle: Gerry (Rosie), Jane Hiscox (Jerry), Mike (Dorothy), and Julia Wallace (Peter), and their children and grandchildren. Marjorie grew up in Killaloe in the Ottawa Valley where she became a teacher at age 16. She came to Ottawa in 1954 and enjoyed a long teaching career in the Ottawa area. Active in the Catholic Charismatic movement from the early 1970’s, Marjorie’s faith was a source of strength to her, and to all who knew her.
