Marjorie Caroline Bastarache – 2017

Marjorie Caroline Bastarache
Marjorie C. Bastarache, 76, of Moncton, with her loving
family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on
Sunday, March 5, 2017 following a long and courageous battle with
cancer. Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late
Frederick and Carol (D’Aubin) Strachan.
Marjorie was a former employee of Jean’s
Restaurant. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with
her family.
Marjorie will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years,
Terrence “Terry” Bastarache of Moncton; daughter, Tobie of
Moncton; sons, Randy (Alison) of Stoney Creek, ON and Ralph (Cynthia)
of Truro, NS; cherished grandchildren, Corey, Kailey, Emma and Phoebe;
nephews, Douglas and Darren Weber; niece, Denise Weber; great niece,
Sara Weber; sister-in-law, Linda Strachan. In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by brothers, Frederick and David Strachan and
sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Weber.
A service to honor and celebrate Marjorie’s life
will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 10:00 am,
with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in
Blacks Memorial Gardens, Glen Margaret, NS in the
spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of The Moncton
Hospital or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated by the family. Online condolences at
