Obituary of Marion Langton VanHorn
August 8 1923 – November 13, 2017
Marion passed away peacefully in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her husbands Arthur Langton (1968) and Osborne VanHorn (2006). Loving Mother to Joan (Charles Beatty) and their children Jeffrey (Jennifer), Ryan (Susan), Lindsay (Blair Kerfoot) and Joel (Maria) and great grandchildren Joshua, Ashton, Jacob, Kieran, Jameson with a new addition arriving in January. Greatly missed by Osborne’s children Fay (Gary Coates), Ruth (Mark Harris) and Jane. Grandchildren James (Melissa), Andrew, Adrienne (Joel van der Veen). Great grandchildren Shema, Noam, Ellie and Francis. Marion was born in Mills Township, Manitoulin Island, eldest child of Harvey and Alice Grace Robinson. She spent all of her married life in Willowdale, an active member of Newtonbrook United Church and proud member of the United Church Women and well as the church choir. She also spent may years volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society. Joan and Charlie wish to thank Muskoka Landing Huntsville for their wonderful care over the last few years. A Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 22nd from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, South of Steeles). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
