Peacefully at her home in St. Catharines on Friday, December 22, 2017.
In her 83rd year, Marilyn Joan Richardson (nee Flummerfelt) beloved
wife of the late Captain Maurice L. Richardson. Loving mother of
Vicki (Mike Mangialardo), Christopher Graves (Sally), Scott Graves ,
Carolyn (Harry Loewen) and Paul Richardson. Loving Nana of Michael
(Rhiannon), Philip, Carly Ann, Caitlyn, Courtney, Neil (Natalie),
Jaime Lynn, Kyle, Carly and Jacob. Great Nana of Evelyn and Joseph.
Dear sister of Brian Flumerfelt (Terry). Lovingly remembered by her
nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Loretta. She will be greatly
missed by her best friends Marilyn Barry (Auntie Dink), Annie Huska,
and Mona Woodrow. Predeceased by a daughter Paula, by her parents
Allan (Bompa) and Evelyn (Nana) Flummerfelt. Marilyn’s family
wish to express their thanks to caregivers Izzy, Annie and Jaylen for
their care, as well as to the Port Colborne Hospital for their
support. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel,
39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday,December
28, 2017 from 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at the
funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11am. Following
Marilyn’s wishes memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by
the family.
Marilyn opened her arms and heart to everyone. She was the consummate
caregiver to all her friends and family, whom she loved deeply.
Marilyn will be truly missed by the many people whose lives she
touched.
