Obituary for Marie Hartley
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Marie Hartley (nee DeSchutter), of Oil Springs, was 76 years old. She will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Lee “Bo” Hartley, her children, Robin Lee (Tammy) Hartley and Dawn Marie (Rodney) Norton. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa, Corey, Tina, Zachary, Devan, and Shawna and great-grandmother to the late Seth, Ainslee, Nova, and one more this coming this April. Marie was a daughter to the late Charlie and Jeanne DeSchutter and a sister to Odillia (Justin “Buddy”) Brennan, Martha (the late William) Johnston, Peter DeSchutter, the late Gilbert DeSchutter, and the late Joseph DeSchutter. A funeral service will held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Visitors will be received prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
