Marianne Henze – April 24, 1929 – September 7, 2017

Marianne passed away peacefully in her home on Sept. 7/17 at the age of 88. She was born April 24/29 in Huckeswagen, Germany to Elfriede and Hans Hofmann. On November 6/48 she married the love of her life, Erich Henze, and they emigrated to Thunder Bay, ON in 1956. They moved to Atikokan, ON in 1959 and lived there ever since. Marianne had a variety of jobs over the years ranging from the Lee’s restaurant, Atikokan Theatre, Caland Ore, school bus driver and the White Otter Inn. Over the years she was very active in the community starting from being active in fundraising for Nakokita swim team, very active in the quilters guild…
