Age 89, of New Glasgow, passed away at Valley View
Villa where she had been a resident for the past four years. Born in
East River, St. Mary’s, she was the daughter of William and Mary Alice
(Moser) Greene. In her younger years she worked at the Tara Motel and
then The Riverton Home for Special Care where she worked in the
dietary kitchen. Margaret was a very kind and generous person. She
found great pleasure in baking, needle point, crocheting, and time
with her family. She is survived by her son Wayne (Gloria) Greene,
Lochaber; granddaughters Alison Clapperton (Steven), Marshy Hope;
Robyn Greene (Dan Tully), Truro; Kerri Greene (Jason Penney), Grand
Lake; great-grand-children Jack and Sara, Ellie and Elise; brother
James (Patsy) Greene; sisters, Marion Hattie, Anna Cameron, Grace
(Bobby) Gunn; sister-in-law Gloria Greene and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Everette in 2013, brothers Elmer,
Harold; sister Joyce Archibald; sisters in- law; Edith Greene, Rita
Greene; brothers in-law Clarence Archibald, Gordon Cameron, Clayton
Hattie.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of HW
Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Visitation will be Friday, November
24, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service 11am, Saturday, November
25, 2017 at HW Angus Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Derek Elsworth
officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial
Gardens.
Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Bethany
United Church, East River St.
Mary’s.
