Obituary for Mabel Blake
Mabel Annie Blake (née Smiley), of Kincardine and formerly of Mattawa, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in her 94th year.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Blake and mother of the late Theresa Walicki.
Cherished mother of Harriette (Bernard) Cavan, Pauline (Richard) Held, Loretta Guay all of Ottawa, Joan (Randy) Haferehl of Elmwood, Robert (Lois) Blake and Michael (Carol) Blake all of Kincardine.
Loved by 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Predeceased by her brother Donald Smiley, son-in-law Brian Guay and 1 great-granddaughter MaKenzie Roberts.
Visitation will be held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Wednesday, June 28th from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. with a funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 749 Russell Street, Kincardine at 12:30 p.m., with Father Thomas Manninezhath officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church or Kincardine Royal Canadian Legion Br.183 (Poppy Fund) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
