Lynne Elizabeth Presley of St. Stephen, NB., passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Charlotte County Hospital.
Lynne was born in Saint John, NB., daughter of the late John Frederick and Alma Ruth (Hemphill) Hickson.
Lynne married the late David Ian Presley in 1986, that same year Lynne and David became owners of the Milltown Irving Convenience Store and Gas Bar. After his death in 1995, Lynne remained the proprietor. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, as well as walking her fur- baby, Gracie. She was also actively involved in St Stephen Curling Club.
Lynne is survived by her children: Susan Irving (Chris) of St. Stephen, NB., Cheryl Rushton (Matthew) and Ian Presley (Jennifer) , all of Fredericton, NB., grandchildren: Nicholas, Alex and Zachery Rushton, Owen and Carson Presley, brother, Jack Hickson (Melanie) of Rothesay, NB., nephew, Matthew Hickson (Jill) of Hampton, NB., brother-in-law, Gordon Presley (Donna), sisters-in-law, Sharon Crawford (Jim), Ruth Kauffelt (Glen), Lorraine Ball, and many dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lynne is predeceased by her aunt, Gladys Hemphill.
Funeral service will be held at the Kirk McColl United Church, 70 King Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2 pm. Visitation will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Charlotte County Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
