PARISSI, Lucy (nee Del Grande) –
Lucy Parissi passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Providence Health Center on Wednesday March 23rd, 2017 at the age of 93. Lucy was pre-deceased by her husband Jake (Jack) Parissi, cherished “Mommy” to Angela (Kent), Carmela (Michael), Mary-Lou (Tracy), Jacqueline (Scott), Donna-Marie (Robert), beloved “Mama Nonna” to Nicholas, Brian, Michelle (Dwayne), Shawn (Amanda), Candice (Brandon). She is survived by her sister Mary Bellio (the late Tony) and pre-deceased by her siblings Delores (the late Sergio), George (Carmela), and Michael (the late Lois). Thanks to Dr. Robert McKellar who was supportive to Lucy for her medical care over the last 40 + years. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all the efforts of the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Center, especially Dr. Amy Nolen and the Palliative Care team, led by Dr. Richard Brodie, at Providence Health Center. Visitation will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL CENTRE, 50 Overlea Blvd. (416) 423-1000 on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Edith Stein Parish at 11 am on Friday, March 31, 2017. Private cremation. Reception will follow the mass at Heritage Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Odette Cancer Centre or Providence Health Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
