RITCHIE, Lucienne Lucienne Helmina Victora Ritchie has turned the last page of her final chapter in the book of life. We are beyond devastated to tell family and friends that this strong, happy go lucky and positive spirited woman has been wrapped in the arms of angels and carried to her eternal home. Lucienne passed away October 30th at home where she wanted to be. She has gone to be with her mom, Damienne and dad, Peter Ritchie and twin brother Lucien and brother Joe Richer(Lil predeceased) and sister Jeanne. Her sisters are being consoled by the belief that she is pain free. She leaves behind her sisters, Henrietta (Toonie)(Don Quinn predeceased), Norita (Tom Trottier predeceased), Jocelyn and Andre Labelle. Lucienne had two loves in her life, her trusted and loyal canine companions (Cuddles predeceased) and her Penny who will have to adjust to life without her best friend. Lutchy was blessed to make many friends through the years. She had a few staff members that she counted on for care, Madeleine Fournier has helped for more than 20 years so we count her as part of the family. Tina who cared for Lutch today until we could be by her side. There are a few more that went above and beyond like Velma, Lucy, Bonnie and to many to mention. Her nephews and nieces loving and caring Desi, Julian, Lisa, Mike, Joanne, Danny, Jen, Todd, Randy, Brennan, Angela, Andrea, Jeff, Brodie and all their spouses and the late Timmy. She faced many challenges in her life due to her diagnosis at birth of Cerebral Palsy. Lucienne never felt handicapped, and was proud to say that she lived more than 60 years beyond her expiry date as her original prognosis stated that she would not see all her teen years. On her last birthday she turned 76. She was born at home and incubated in the oven weighing one and a half pounds. Donations may be made to the March of Dimes or a charity of your choice.
