It is with breaking hearts that we announce the passing of Louis
Patrick (Pat) Madore on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Doctor
Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born in Fredericton on Feb 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Walter
Madore and Sarah McDonough.
Pat is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gilberte; sons Paul (Lisa),
Peter (Debbie), Kevin (Tina), Sean Ryan (Elissa); daughters Michelle
Madore-Mills (Blaine) and Susan Korbett (Vince); grandchildren
Brendan, Mitchell, Erin, Julia, Erica, step granddaughter Kari, great
granddaughter Miss Ava Elizabeth, brothers Darrel (Carolyn) and Don
(Patricia) along with several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by his sister Lorraine and infant siblings Mary
and John.
Pat was a lifelong resident of Minto and was heavily involved in the
community. He was deservedly inducted to the Minto Sports Wall of Fame
in 2013 as coach, administrator and athlete. He was a passionate fly
fisherman, renowned for his canoe building, fly tying, master of
carpentry and his dry sense of humor. He was an amateur historian and
the smartest, kindest man we’ve ever met.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with
visitation on Sunday from 2-6pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated
11:00AM Monday, December 5, 2016 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood
Ridge, NB. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the MEMS breakfast program
or donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
