of Sturgeon County
Mar 25 1948 – Nov 17 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine Dale Poeckens announce her passing after a lengthy battle with cancer on November 17, 2017 at the age of 69 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Darren (Twana), Jeff (Rhonda) & Janet (Scott) Saxton; four grandchildren, Grace, Ethan, Theo & Christian; sister, Carleen (Jack) Vrdolak; brother, Al (Charlotte) Loughlin; as well as numerous extended family & friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Reg & Annie Loughlin and infant son, Gordon Allan Poeckens.
Lorraine dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was gifted in many facets of her life including petit point, cross stitch, painting, sewing, wood working, crafting, and many others. With her endless strength, energy, and dedication, she created special moments for her entire family to treasure forever, especially at Christmas and Easter. She also cherished the very simple moments in life with her family.
Keeping with Lorraine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to Dr.Ken Stewart for his care of Lorraine for the past 10 years, as well as the staff at the Royal Alex Hospital for their care of Lorraine and her family during her last stay with them.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lorraine Poeckens Maiden Loughlin of Sturgeon County
