1917-2017
The passing of Lillian Crosby, wife of the late Thomas Crosby of
Utopia occured on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Passamaquoddy Lodge.
She was born on Deer Island on April 17, 1917 to the late Charles and
Lillie (Lambert) Lord. Lillian was a loving wife, mother and
grandmother; devoting her life to her family. She was a member of the
L’Etete Church of Christ. Lillian enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles
and visits from family and friends. She was a fun loving person who
had a sharp wit right up until the end.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Jacquie McAfee of Utopia; son,
Charles “Chuck” (Linda) of St. George; granddaughters:
Andrea Brewing (Peter) of Baxter’s Corner, Nancy McAfee of Saint John;
April Lomax (Trevor) of St. George and Katie McGee (Tyson) of St.
George; grandson, Tony (Christine) of Ontario and six
great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Lillian was
predeceased by a grandson, Charles David; two sisters and three
brothers. She was the late surviving member of her immediate
family.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street,
St. George with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The
Funeral Service will take place from the St. George Funeral Home
Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Conrad Cline officiating. The
interment will be held in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring.
In Lillian’s memory, donations to the charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the family.
