It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leverna Brumsey announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Sunday November 12th 2017 at the age of 68 years. Leverna was loved by a wide circle of family and friends. She could be found having a cup of tea, laughing and sharing with those she loved. She was always helping others as she would spend time volunteering at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre and the Emile Benoit House. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Lester, one son Boyd (Reina Yellen) in Ontario, her two daughters Cindy( Paul) Earle in Ontario, Melissa( Michael) Legge in St. John’s, her six grandchildren Ashlee, Kaylee, Kourtenay, Noah, Larissa and Mikayla. Also leaving to mourn her brothers Gervais Benoit, Wayne (Bride) Benoit and Lester Benoit all in Stephenville Crossing, Cecil(Yvonne) Benoit in St. George’s, Melvin Benoit in Stephenville, Mike(Jane) Benoit in British Columbia, one sister Sheila Landry in Stephenville Crossing, All of the Brumsey family and a very special sister in law Daisy Alexander who was by her side every step of the way, along with a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Cecil and Genevieve Benoit, her brother Gerald Benoit, and her two sisters Margaret Rose Benoit and Isabel Benoit. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7-9 at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing .The funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Assumption Parish with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Brook Street. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Daffodil Place or to the Janeway Children’s Hospital in Leverna’s memory.
