Leslie Gilbert Jolley passed away peacefully at home in Kincardine on February 25th, 2017 at the age of 86.
He is survived by his four children, Susan (Dennis) Robinson, Stephen (Heather) Jolley, Kenneth (Brenda) Jolley and Arthur (Emily) Jolley, all of Kincardine, his only sister, Irene Doornbos of Park Ridge, Illinois and sister-in-law, Hilda Howes of England.

Les was born and raised in Liverpool, England where he was able to travel the world as a First Class Stationary Engineer with the British Merchant Marine.
Les and Joyce made the decision to move to Canada to begin a career with the Ontario Hydro nuclear program. He was one of the original licensed Nuclear Operators in Canada, and assisted in the commissioning of Douglas Point, Pickering and Bruce units.
Les enjoyed playing the piano and established a band, Les Jolley and the Jolly Jumpers, which played at many dances in the area during the sixties and seventies. He was a former councillor on the Kincardine Town Council, owned and operated the Kincardine Marina for many years, and, his greatest love – designed and built his 18 hole golf course, Ainsdale, where he played 18 holes daily, even getting a hole-in-one at the age of 83!
He was a quiet and humble man who loved his family, gardening, his dart league at the Kincardine Legion, the Liverpool Football Club, and playing Seniors euchre.
Les was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Joyce, brothers-in-law, Andrew Doornbos of Park Ridge, Illinois, Bill Howes and Jack Howes and sister-in-law Betty Porter (Ed), all of England.
