GALLAGHER, Leona Dorothy – passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, February 13th, 2017 at the age of 83 years.
Leona “Lee” Gallagher (nee Raaflaub), loving mother of Thomas (Sue), Amherstview ON; Barbara McDowell (Harley), Pembroke ON; Susan Walker, Grande Prairie AB; Terry Gallagher, Pembroke ON; Kirby Gallagher (Sheila), Dunrobin ON; Stacey Lambert (Randy), Kingston ON; Shelley Gallagher (Billy Gagnon), Westmeath ON; and Liane Wheaton (Mark), Pembroke ON. Beloved Noni of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Liane Amos, Ottawa ON; and 7 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew. Predeceased by her parents Lincoln & Gertrude Raaflaub (nee Stencill); and sister Lois Nelson (late Huntley).
Special thanks to the staff of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Rehab Centre, especially Marilyn for their compassion and care for Leona.
Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, February 17 from 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 454 Miller St., Pembroke, on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated).
