Leon Fulton Hatchard
1924-2017
Leon Hatchard, 92, of Moncton, with his loving family at his
side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March
14, 2017. Born in the Annapolis Valley, NS, he was the son of the late
Archibald and Frances (Harvey) Hatchard.
Leon enlisted in the RCAF, serving from 1943 –

and Reid’s Wholesalers. He was an avid bowler and “jack

and current events. He was also an excellent cook and really enjoyed a
good meal. He was an active member of Sunny Brae Baptist Church,
serving as a deacon and auditor. A true family man, Leon took great
pride in the legacy of faith and love that he and his beautiful wife
Florence created over their 67 years of marriage. In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Florence (MacPherson)
(February 20, 2017); sisters, Alice Porter, Eileen Cohoon, Madeline
Hatchard and brothers, Clark, Harry, Ira and George.

Hatchard (Ruth Anne) of Moncton, Brian Hatchard (Charyl) of Lower
Coverdale, Murray Hatchard (Debbie) of Moncton, Ruth Hatchard (Rudy

Osborne Phillips; several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.

Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A
Service to celebrate and honour Leon’s life will be held at
