In Loving Memory
Marie Lea Murphy passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Harold Murphy (1982). She was the daughter of the late André Porelle and Melessie (Cassie) Porelle.
She will be greatly missed by her sons Harold Jr (Yvonne) Murphy from Edmonton, Alberta and Kenneth (Carol Ann) Murphy from Hood River, Oregon; her grandchildren: Lisa, Shawn, Amber, Seija and Michael; her great grandchildren: Kennedy, Brandon, Grace, Max, Smith and Piper; her sister: Andréa (late Adolphe) Gallant as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by three sisters: Viola, Theresa and Loraine as well as two brothers: Aurelle and Alyre
Besides her family, Lea loved to quilt and play cards. She enjoyed traveling to Alberta and the USA several times.
A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25 at 10:00am. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home an hour before the service.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Villa Providence and O Bon Soins for the great care provided. Also, a special thank you to her sister, Andréa for being at Lea’s side for the past few years.
In the memory of Lea, a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
