Obituary for Lawrence Baker
Resting peacefully in the arms of Our Father… it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Lawrence “Larry” Munroe Baker at the age of 69 on Tuesday, August 29th, 2017. Leaving to mourn Larry are his wife of 42 years Peggy (Brady), his sons Jacob (Jen), granddaughters Olivia and Alyssa (mother Kim); and Justin (Claire), grandchildren Dylan and Makayla. He shared a special bond with his foster sister Ilona French and mother-in-law Evelyn Brady. He is survived by his mother Jane Little; brother John and sisters Nancy, Sandy (Wilf), Karen and Diane (John) and his foster sister Ilona. Predeceased by his brother Rick. Larry is also survived by his mother-in-law Evelyn Brady and her family Ted (Muriel), Bob (Joanne), Greg (Marie), Dwight, Sharon (Norm), Brenda (Ken), Pat (Doreen), Michael (Michelle), Terry (Mike) and by many nieces and nephews. Larry was proud to volunteer for over thirty-five years to Meals on Wheels. Larry was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and always volunteered his time for numerous events. “Well done good and faithful servant” Mathieu 25:21 We wish to extended a special thank you to Dr. Cano and the Bay Shore nurses especially Tracy for their care and support during this difficult time. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, September 1st, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Northern Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
