1942-2017
Laurie Weston Tibbetts – 75, of
Canning, Kings County, formerly of Sarnia, Ontario, passed away
Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at home. Born in Pereau, Kings County, he
was a son of the late Frederick and Beatrice (Rogers) Tibbetts. He was
employed with Allied Van Lines as a Van Foreman for 52 years, having
achieved a certificate as a Master Mover. He is survived by his wife,
Debbie (Batten); their children, Beatrice (Rick) Filion, Peter
(Barbara) Tibbetts, Rebecca Tibbetts and Cassandra Tibbetts, all of
Sarnia; Pamela Tibbetts, Toronto; three sisters, Doris (Don) Millett,
Habitant; Sandra (Gord) Crutcher, Thornhill, ON; Ellen Smith, Newport;
two brothers, Kenneth (Faye), Plamondon, AB; Eric (Dawna), Murphy
Lake; seven grandchildren, Michael, Megen, Alicia, Gerald, Charles,
Peter and Kaiden; a great granddaughter, Ashley; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Tibbetts. Cremation has taken
place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service
will be held at a later date in the Pereau Cemetery. Donations in
memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the VON Annapolis
Valley (Palliative Care) or the charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
