Larry Phillip Wilcox
1948-2017
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on May
23, 2017, with the love of his life and his loving children by his
side, Larry Phillip Wilcox, partner of Kandie Lockhart of Pennfield NB
passed away. Born in Clarence Ridge NB on February 12, 1948, he was
the son of the late F. Ellsworth and Dorothy (Whittier) Wilcox. A
loving partner, father, grandfather, nephew and step-brother, in
addition to his partner, Kandie, he is survived by his children: Tara
Leavitt (Meagan) of Cambridge Narrows NB, Nadia Wilcox (Babou LeBlanc)
of Rexton NB, Chris Terry (Spring) of Midland TX, Kristy Young of
Odessa TX, Tricia Janes of Fredericton NB, Cecile Janes of Fredericton
NB, Stacey Wilcox (Kyle Gosman) of Jemseg NB and Andrea Wilcox (Jake
Weinstein) of Fredericton NB; 21 grandchildren; uncle: Sheldon
(Audrey) Wilcox of Pennfield NB; aunt: Pauline McLeod of Clarence
Ridge NB; step brothers: Robert Hooper (Jill) of Hamilton ON, Carl
Hooper (Linda) of St. George NB, Joseph Hooper (Analee) of Spruce
Grove AB and Ronald Hooper (Suzanne) of Pennfield NB; step sisters:
July Boudreau (Emile) of Pennfield NB and Peggy Galbraith (Steve) of
Pennfield NB; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by sisters: Frances Whittier, Betty Lou
Wilcox and Joyce Wilcox.
Prior to retirement, Larry worked as a supervisor for Point Lepreau
for many years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, camping and
hunting, especially with his Dad when he was younger. He enjoyed Golf
and could often be found tinkering outside or going for drives.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church
on Saturday from 6-9 pm. The service will be held from the church on
Sunday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. In Larry’s memory,
donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the
