WHARRAM: Kenneth Malcolm “Kenny”
The Wharram family sadly announces Kenny’s death on Tuesday January 10, 2017, at the age of 83. Kenny was the beloved husband of the late Jean (neé Farrell). Loving father of Ken Jr. and his wife Karyn of Burlington and Sandy Cantin of North Bay. He was the loving grandfather of Andrea Merritt (Dan), Julie Slade (Todd), Jessica Cantin, Michelle Cantin and great grandchildren Elyse, Bryson, Devon and Corey. He is the dear brother of Al Wharram. Kenny played 11 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks from 1958-69 (Sports hall of fame website link: http://www.northbaysportshalloffame.ca/Inductee.aspx?ID=135). He later worked for the School Board as a fine carpenter for many years. He was an active member of the North Bay Golf and Country Club, enjoying the golf and the camaraderie. Visitation for Ken will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday January 15 from 2-4 and 7- 9 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption at 10:00 am. Monday January 16. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
