Kenneth Meyer
Meyer: Kenneth John Meyer, 68, of Swift Current passed away September 22, 2017 at The Meadows- Clover House. The memorial service was held at 2pm, September 29th at the First United Church with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. Life Tribute was presented Scott Sinclair. The Reading were Leanne and Vicki Diehl. The Urn Bearers were Michelle and Kevin Tuchscherer. The Ushers were Tom Westbury, Mike Giesbrecht, Chris Hebert and Mike Fulop. The Inurnment Service too place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. The service was followed with a gathering of friends and family at the Swift Current iPlex to celebrate Ken’s life. Ken was survived by his Mother-In-Law Eileen Diehl; Son Brad (Alisa) Meyer; Granddaughter Dani Meyer; Brother Jim (Annette) Meyer; Sisters Helen Sinclair (Gord), Betty Dixon (Arnie), Burnadette (Robert) Prentice and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Wife Judy; Father John and Mother Rose; Sister Carolyn and Father-In-Law Alvin. Ken was born in Cabri, Saskatchewan, October 3rd, 1948. He attended school at Portreeve and Lancer, Saskatchewan where he met and married the love of his life Judy Diehl on June 27th, 1970. Ken worked in all facets of the automotive industry for Chrysler/Dodge for over 30 years, eventually retiring as a salesman from Great West Chrysler in Swift Current. Ken loved to hunt, fish, camp and garden. He was also an avid and knowledgeable coin collector. Ken had a love for people and made countless friends throughout his career in Swift Current. He was well known for his friendly good nature, kindness and willingness to help others. He will be dearly missed by many.
