Kate died on 31 Dec 2016 after a long battle with Cancer.
Kate was able to be home with her children, husband and her beloved
new granddaughter for Christmas before returning to the Moncton City
Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Born is Sackville, she was predeceased by her parents; Robert
(Bob) and Muriel (Bell) Steadman.
Survived by her daughter Stacey Lynn Sparks , her
husband Montell and granddaughter Brielle of
Massachusetts, her son Jordan Troy Sparks from Burnaby
British Columbia and spouse Victor of Riverview, New
Brunswick, her sister Patricia Leger (husband Charles) of Shediac
Bridge and brother Robbie Steadman of Sackville.
Kate was a very special person who cared about everyone over
herself. Her passions in life were varied and included working in
diverse professions such as mental health, Early Childhood Education
and Women’s Fitness. She loved to travel and had a unique
ability as an artist, was a skillful painter, stained glass artist and
quilter.
She loved helping others especially children,
having touched hundreds of children as an Early Childhood Development
Specialist. In Kate’s honor a gofundme page has been
created. All funds generated by this fund will be donated to the

. The arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral
Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007).
