Obituary of Kathleen Lobsinger
With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Kay Lobsinger at Freeport Health Centre, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 93.
Kay is survived by her daughter Linda (Raymond) Spiewak of Kitchener, and son Robert (Melanie) Lobsinger of Heidelberg, grandchildren Bradley (Silvia), Erin (Allan), Stephen (Maria), Andrea (Kiel) as well as great grandchildren William, Niklas, Erland, Nathan, Matthew and Jordyn. Kay is also survived by her brother Thomas (Donna) Marcella. Predeceased by her husband Robert and her brother and sister-in-law Robert (Jackie) Marcella.
For many years Kay was a volunteer at the Breithaupt Centre, Kitchener. She was an active member of the C.W.L. of St. Louis RC Church and the Out of the Cold program. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and all her grandchildren at the family cottage at Conestoga Lake.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Kay with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church on Thursday, December 14 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Phil Reilly, CR as Celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener at a later date.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Freeport Palliative Care for their support and kindness shown to Kay.
