Kathleen Jean Bent – 2017

Kathleen Jean Bent , 78 of Waterville
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister in the Grand View Manor in Berwick on April 10, 2017. Surrounded by her family she peacefully left our arms to be in the arms of her Saviour.
Her family always came first, especially her grandchildren and great grand children. Her love for children was evident in every aspect of her life. She was Grammy Kay to many.
Mom was not as ashamed to let people know about her Lord and Saviour. She was a member of the Weston Christian Fellowship Church. Whenever the church doors were open you would find Mom helping wherever she could.
In her early years Mom worked at Graves plant. In later years she worked at Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre from where she retired.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Howard; daughter Donna (Carl) Lee of Windermere; son Raymond (Christine) of Nicholsville; grandchildren Nicole, Matthew, Gregory, Trevor, Nathan and Katelynn; great grandchildren Makayla, Cassidy, Brayden, Ryan, Leanne, Lena and Rayna; sisters Geraldine, Pauline, Laura and Loretta.
She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Muriel (Reese) Burns; sisters Beatrice, Marsha, Helen, Norma and Lona, brothers Robert, Brian and Derrick in infancy.
A visitation will take place on April 12 2017 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Berwick Serenity Chapel. A funeral service will be held on April 13 2017 at 2:pm in the Weston Christian Fellowship Church. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia or the Grand View Manor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home Chapels, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900).
