STEIBL, Karl – Mr. Karl Steibl at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 93 years of age. Loving husband for 66 years to Hildegard Lore Steibl (predeceased). Survived by one sister Maria Gummerman of Germany. Predeceased by his parents Karl and Anna (nee Weissgerber) and many siblings in Germany. Karl was a welder and the proprietor of Cornwall & District Wrought Iron Works located in Glen Walter. Wrought iron railings crafted by Karl can be seen throughout Cornwall and the surrounding area. Karl will be missed by long time neighbours and friends, Paul and Cathy Moise. We’ll keep your clocks running Karl. Thank you to Shilpa, Emily and all the staff at Riverdale Terrace, and also to Monique and Joyce from Paramed. A special thank you to Marion Watt at the Cornwall Community Hospital whose professionalism, compassion and kindness will not be forgotten. A celebration of Karl’s life will be held on August 26, 2017 at Riverdale Terrace from 1-3 p.m. Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall.
