1939-2017
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of K. Hope Latta, age 78, of
River Hebert, NS. Hope passed away peacefully, surrounded by
her loving family, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Hecla, MB, she was a daughter of
the late Paul and Fjola Paulson.
Hope taught in Hecla, then Prince
Rupert, BC in her younger years. She was dedicated to her
community, and was very involved with the Development Association and
the local park. She was a loving grandmother, known to her
grandchildren as Amma. She was a wonderful cook, and loved
to host gatherings. She was a passionate artist whose
paintings and creations filled her and her family’s
homes.
She will be dearly missed by her husband
Walter, River Hebert; son Neil (Kelly Jeffcoat), Birch Bay, Washington
State; grandchildren Jordan and Kenley; nieces Belinda and Brenda of
Winnipeg, MB.
She was predeceased by her son
Christopher in 1989; sister Linda Doll.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Visiting hours will take
place at the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street River Hebert, on
Friday from 6 to 8 pm. Hope’s funeral service will be held
on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home,
River Hebert, NS at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Hillside
Cemetery, River Hebert, NS.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made to the Hillside Cemetery, the Cumberland
Health Care Centre, or the charity of your choice.
