On January 20, 2017, John Joseph Borys of Lamont, AB, formerly of St. Michael, AB, passed away at 71 years of age after a valiant battle with lymphoma.
John will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Linda Klein; his brother, Walter Borys; three nephews, Derek (Sarah), Curtis (Shauna), and Kevin (Jen); his great-niece, Charlotte; his great-nephew, Carson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, William and Annie; his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles.
Divine Liturgy Thursday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Star-Peno, AB. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment in the Church Cemetery. In memory of John, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (Alberta Chapter), 316, 1212 – 31 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB T2E 7S8 or to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.
