BROPHY, John Francis- Age 82, Mulgrave

In his early years Francis completed

loss of the plant in Mulgrave. He also worked for the Town of Mulgrave

cutting wood both for income and his own use. His work took a toll on
both Francis and his vehicles. Francis enjoyed a simple life
style. He treasured family, friends, good food, animals and
music.
His greatest enjoyment came from his
years of volunteering for the Ceilidh’s, especially the
Ceilidh’s at the Creamery. He was honoured by the

volunteer efforts. He took great pleasure in fiddle music
and was always quick with high praise for the weekly performers from
near and far. He also enjoyed going to bingo. He cared a great deal
for animals. He was known to rescue animals in need. All
those who knew Francis were very aware of his affection for his kitten
“Puss”.
