It is with great sadness that the family of John E. Schwarz announce his passing on Saturday December 16, 2017 at the age of 74. He is remembered with love by his wife Sandy, his daughters Angi Schwarz and Megan Picard and son-in-law Jason Picard. His only sister Virginia Zelent (Gene) and nephew Jeff Zelent. His brother-in-law Harry Irvine (Judy). Papa will be dearly missed by his much-loved grandsons, Alex and Aaron VanDiemen, and Luke and Chance Picard. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and many of our extended families. John had friends he had kept since childhood that he cherished (not his word -mine) who will remember him.
Predeceased by his dad John Schwarz, his mother Alida Schmidt and stepfather Henry Schmidt, in-laws Margaret and Henry Irvine, brothers-in-law Jim and Bill Irvine and Rick Zelent, nephews Ricky Zelent and Ryan Irvine.
Cremation has taken place. At John’s request there will be no service. Memorial donations in John’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
