AMELOTTE, John Joseph – At his home in Cornwall on Friday March 17th, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Dear father of Judy Bergeron (Edgar), Carol Lafave, Bruce (Linda), Gilles (Pat), Fern (Lise) and Len (late Rozanne). Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. John is also survived by his brother Roma (late Alice), his former wife Doreen Amelotte (née Laflamme) and his sister-in-law Colombe. He was predeceased by his parents Edmond and Emma (née Richard) as well as by his brothers and sister, Omer (Grace), Rene, Albert (Pat), Wilfred (Muriel), Edna (Alfred) and by his common law wife Mary Moss. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall on Thursday March 23rd from 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be held in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 424 Second Street West, Cornwall, Ontario on Friday March 24, 2017 at 10AM. Rite of committal at a later date in St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, Apple Hill. If so desired, contributions to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario or the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OSPCA would be appreciated by the family.
