It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joanne Leona (Watson) Moore which occurred on Friday, December 8th, 2017, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1950, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Marshall) Watson. Joanne worked in real estate administration for over 25 years. She was part of the 722 Communication Squadron for over 5 years. Joanne managed a co-ed dart league with her loving husband for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing cards and feeding hummingbirds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Joanne is survived by her loving and devoted husband Joseph Moore of 41 years; son Chuck Moore (Stephanie) of Ottawa, ON; daughter Jodie Gould (Jason) of Woodstock; brothers Charles Watson (Pat) of Quispamsis, Brice Watson (Lynne) of Millidgeville, Daryl Watson of Upper Golden Grove, Trevor Watson (Shelley) of Damascus; sisters Marilyn Whittaker of Golden Grove, Phyllis Hughes (Sonny) of Golden Grove, Donna Watson of Quispamsis, Lois McNeil (Edward) of Saint John, Carol Kilpatrick (Donnie) of Barnesville; mother-in-law Frances Moore; sister-in-law Pat Bagley; 2 grandchildren Jacob and Janelle Gould; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her father-in-law Carl Moore, sisters-in-law Della Watson and Barb Daigle, and brothers-in-law Walter Whittaker and Leon Daigle.
On behalf of the family, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our family and friends, for all the support that mom has received. Special thanks to Shelley Watson for all her love and support.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, December 11th from 2 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, December 12th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bobby’s Hospice, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
