Life Story for Joan Elizabeth Thibert
Thibert, Joan Elizabeth (nee Colquhoun/Hughes) passed away peacefully with family by her side at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved first husband Jim Hughes and second husband Clarence Thibert. Dearly missed by her good friend of several years, Helmut Stramm of Brantford. Loving mother of Nancy Hughes-Liske from Welland, Ontario and Rob Hughes and his wife Lisa from St. Thomas, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Ashley, Natalie, Lindsay, Nolte and great-grandmother of Adriana. She is also survived by her siblings Bob and wife Ria, Dorothy and husband Ray and Gary and wife Pauline and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received by family on Friday, October 27th from 6-9 pm at James L. Pedlar Funeral Home at 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, Ontario. The memorial service to honour Joan’s life will take place on Saturday, October 28th beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. An expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the “Heart & Stroke Foundation.”
