Obituary for Jessie Podlubny (Iskiw)
On October 27, 2017 at the age of 93 years, Jessie Podlubny returned to the loving arms of her husband Peter (1991), whom she has so deeply missed, for so long.
Born on April 1, 1924 in Myrnam, Alberta Jessie lived her early life on her family farm. After she and Peter married on October 8, 1948 they moved to Edmonton, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Jessie is survived by her son, Ken (Linda) and daughter, Marcia; five grandchildren: Lauren (Troy), Ryan, Greg, Nicole and Kristen (Jake); and four great-grandchildren: Cooper, Penelope, Dani and Gracie. Predeceased by her husband, Peter; brothers, Bill and Steve; and sisters, Mary and Annie.
A special thank you to Dr. Boris Boyko, Dr. Labib, Nurse Myrna and the other nursing staff at Robbins 6 West (Royal Alexandra Hospital.)
Funeral Service Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton with Reverend Julian Bilyj officiating. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery will be private for family only.
