Gignac, Jennifer Colleen (nee
Walls)
Jenn passed away at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Saturday,
August 19, 2017 at the age of 40 years, after a valiant battle with
lung cancer. She was the beloved wife and best friend of
Jean Gignac. Much loved daughter of Ken Walls (Irene) of
Fredericton, NB and Theresa Walls (Lorne Lappin) of Duchess, AB. Dear
sister of Janice Matchett (Matthew) of Miramichi, NB; and Charlene
Godfrey of Grand Prairie, AB. Cherished granddaughter of William (the
late Agnes) Walls; and Boyd and Jean Williston; all of Miramichi,
NB. Loving Auntie Jenn of Aydan and Taylor Matchett, also of
Miramichi, NB.
Born in Chatham, NB; Jenn graduated from James M. Hill
Memorial High School in 1996. She then attended University
in Nova Scotia and College in Ontario to obtain her business
degree. She joined The Co-operators Insurance company in
Riverview, NB; beginning a very successful career that eventually
brought she and Jean to the Guelph office in December,
2005.
Cremation was facilitated by GILCHRIST CHAPEL –
McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street,
Guelph. A Memorial Service for Jenn will be held at St.
Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St., Miramichi, NB on
Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Adams
Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB. Interment of cremated
remains will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi,
NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
or to Hospice Wellington, in Jenn’s memory, would be
appreciated by the family.
