Décédé à l’hôpital de Shawville, Québec le jeudi 21 décembre 2017 à l’âge de 74 ans. Précédé par ses parents Louis Bertrand et Estelle Lacroix. Il laisse dans le deuil ses frères; Romain (Rose-Marie), Ray (Lynn), Robert (Sandy) et ses sœurs; Joan, Jayne (Wayne), Anne (Raymond), Nancy (Brian) ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Jean-Guy sera aussi manqué par une demi-sœur; Lise Embois. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée à l’église St. Pierre, Fort-Coulonge, Québec le mercredi 27 décembre 2017 à 11h. Inhumation au cimetière paroissial au printemps. Des dons à la fondation CLSC Pontiac seraient grandement appréciés.
