Jean Paul JP Picard

Bathurst –
Jean Paul “J.P.” Picard, 75, of Centennial St.,
Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2016, at the Chaleur
Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy battle with
illness.
Born in Campbellton, he was the son of
the late Patrick and Blanche (Savoie)
Picard.
He worked for over 25 years as the
representative of Moosehead Brewery’s until his retirement.
He was inducted into the NB Sports Hall of Fame and then twice in the
Campbellton Sports Hall of Fame for individual Hockey and team
category.
Besides his wife, Pauline (Pelletier)
Picard, he is survived by one son,
Dereck Patrick Picard of Halifax,
NS.
Two brothers:
Charlie Picard (Ursula) of Campbellton
and Gilles Picard (Madeleine) of
Kapiscasing, ON
Two sisters:
Jeannine MacDonald (Rod) of Montreal and
Louise Picard Caissie (Jacques) of
Campbellton.
Several nieces and
nephews.
He was prdeceased by two
brothers: Claude and
Guy.
There will be no visitation at the
Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday
January 4, 2017 at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church,
Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Jean Paul may be
made to the Kidney Foundation (Dialysis), Heart and Stroke Foundation
or a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are in the
