1936-2017
The death of Jean Hazel McMahon of Quispamsis, wife
of the late Ron McMahon, occurred on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the
Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bayswater, NB on May 30, 1936,
she was a daughter of the late Archie and Hazel (Nelson)
Speight.
Jean was employed with Pizza Delight for many years
until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed bowling with the QRA Monday
Night Bowling League, bingo, and family dinners with her brother and
sister.
Jean is survived by her sons; Bill (Tanya) and Kevin,
both of Quispamsis, daughter Brenda Phinney (Steven) of Quispamsis,
grandsons; Will, Jamie, Myles, and Shane, sister Dot Phillips of
Carters Point, NB and brother Joe (Joan) of Saint John, as well as
several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Jean is predeceased
by her sister Helen, Mary, and Phylis, and brother
Melbourne.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152
Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday from
2-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral
Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at
11AM . Interment to take place at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery,
Hammond River. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to a charity of the
donor’s
choice.
