Jean Evelyn Kingston 1928 – 2017
Jean Evelyn (MacDonald) Kingston, wife of the late Frederick Kingston of Miramichi, passed away at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, NS on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the age of 89.
Born in Newcastle, NB, Jean was the daughter of the late James and Laura (Legace) MacDonald.Jean was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Jean was a retired Secretary, with the former Health Steel Mines. Jean was active in the community; she was a member of St. Mary’s CWL, Miramichi Senior Citizens Club, and volunteered with Tourism New Brunswick (Ritchie’s Wharf).
Jean is survived by four children; daughter: Mary Catherine (Melbourne) Russell of Las Vegas, NV, USA; sons: Kevin (Leslie) Kingston, of Bedford, NS, Peter (Argentine) Kingston of Escuminac, NB, and Tim (Lois) Kingston of Miramichi, NB; eight Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jean is predeceased by her parents and husband Frederick.Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Please note there will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside service will take place at a later date from the St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sevogle, NB.
As expressions of sympathy, in Jean’s memory donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
