Kennedy, Jean (nee Boudreau) ( 1925-2017) In her 92nd year, Orra Jean Kennedy passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday October 28th, 2017.
Jean was born on July 16th , 1925 near Redbridge, Ont.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis (Frank) Kennedy; her brother Wilfred James Boudreau and her sister Ruth Desveaux (nee Boudreau).
Jean is survived by sons Frederick and wife Pat of Meaford, Ont.; Joseph and wife Dot of North Bay, ON as well as many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean worked all her life, mainly as a waitress, short-order cook and cleaning lady. In the fifties and sixties she worked on Trout Lake at the Harbour and Trout lake Marina. She was employed as a cook each fall for many years at goose hunting camps on James Bay. Jean loved playing bingo, taking bus tours and picking blueberries.
She lived on Circle Lake Road in North Bay for almost sixty years until moving in to Cassellholme this year.
Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff in the CCU and Palliative Care Units at the NBRHC for their care and support.
Rest in peace Mom, you’re in heaven now, where the blueberries are as big as your thumb and as sweet as maple syrup.
