James Peter Johnson, age 59, passed away in his sleep in the early hours of July 8, 2017.
Jim was born December 20, 1957 in Prince Rupert, BC, where he grew up and lived until moving to Houston in 1987 to work for the District of Houston. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marlee, his daughter, Taren (John) and his son, Kory. He is further survived by his brothers, Victor (Kerry) and Brian, his sisters Vickie-Lynn and Carol (Gerry), many amazing nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Alfil Johnson.
There will be no service as per his wishes. We will gather in Prince Rupert for a get together in August and we will announce a date and time in the coming weeks. Memorial donations are welcome and can be made in Jim’s name to the Community Cancer Care Team & Treatment Room through the BV Health Care and Hospital Foundation – # 3 Cancer Fund.
