Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Pleasantview Towers, St. John’s on Thursday, August 24, 2017. James John Wade, aged 78 years was predeceased by his parents, John Wade and Elizabeth (nee Pike) of Mount Carmel and his sister, Eileen. Jim leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Alice (nee Rose) of 57 years. Devoted father to Pamela (John Rumboldt) and Sharon (Roy Hann); grandfather to Krista, Stephanie and Stephen and great-grandfather to Aislinn. Jim also leaves to mourn, his sister, Elsie (James Power deceased), Carmel (Bill Gosse), Doris (Wayne Baker) and Ann; his brothers Ed Wade (Delores) and Mike Wade (Theresa); and his step-grandchildren, Lesley, Nicholas and Jessica with their families; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff and doctors of Pleasantview Towers, 3 South West and St. Clare’s, 4 West – your care and compassion will be forever remembered. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday from 2-9 pm with cremation to follow. Funeral Service will take place in Caul’s Chapel at 9:30 am on Monday, August 28, 2017 with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Jim’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
